Nicola lives in Brampton and speaks Patois.
She completed a Masters in Social Work, specializing in Diversity, Equity and Access. As a Caribbean-Black-Jamaican-mother-daughter-wife, she wears many hats. Currently, she works at the Catholic Children’s Aid Society in Toronto.
In her time off, she works as a producer for 98.7FM – the only Black-owned radio station in Canada. She is a member of the Social Justice Committee at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Toronto, as well as a member of the United Way of Peel Region’s Black Community Advisory Council.
Being an active member of the Black community is extremely important to her, and she ensures that she brings their perspectives as a Champion in the Community Engagement and Leadership Initiative.
