Rehanna has lived in the Peel Region for most of her life, moving from Mississauga to Brampton, and now residing in Caledon.
She identifies as an Indo-Trinidadian and an Anti-Racist Feminist. Currently, Rehanna works for the Region of Peel as an Advisor, Performance and Accountability.
She is also completing her doctoral research focusing on social mobility, immigration, and refugee studies. Her passion for equity and social justice has led her to teach various courses at York University and Sheridan College.
She enjoys opportunities that let her connect her academic work to grassroots activities. The chance to move beyond theories of diversity to tangible solutions to impact and support communities at the grassroots level, is what drew her to the Community Engagement and Leadership Initiative.
